Where to stay in Waikiki ~ Continental (Surf) Hotel 

Continental (Surf) Hotel General description:

• The Continental (Surf) Hotel, also known as Continental Surf, is a budget hotel managed by Aqua. The Continental (Surf) Hotel is located on Kuhio Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares in Waikiki, within a relatively short walk to Waikiki beach (about 2 minutes).
• The Continental (Surf) Hotel was originally built in 1979; it has 18 floors, a fair size lobby and front desk on the ground floor. The Continental (Surf) Hotel has no pool but has an exercise room on the top floor as well as free Wi-Fi internet access from the lobby as well as the guest rooms. Convenience, central location, proximity to the beach and affordability are the trademarks of this property. The Continental (Surf) Hotel has been maintained all these years but no major renovations have been performed lately. 

What we like about The Continental (Surf) Hotel:

• The location is very desirable and so is the proximity to the beach.
• At the Continental (Surf) Hotel all rooms have a microwave oven that is something not very common in general, let alone in a budget hotel.
• Central air conditioning, free Wi-Fi internet access everywhere at the Continental (Surf) Hotel including the guestrooms and a free exercise room are three odd features to find in a budget hotel (central air conditioning eliminates the noise associated with window or otherwise individual units).
• For a hotel in Waikiki, the Continental (Surf) Hotel has plentiful parking, that is covered and within the hotel property, like all hotels in Waikiki, it is expensive but available. Parking is a priced commodity in the area.
• This is the perfect hotel if you are on a budget as long as you do not mind the small rooms, has all the things that you need (private bathroom, color TV, telephone, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, AC) at a very good rate.

What you may not like about The Continental (Surf) Hotel:

• At the Continental (Surf) Hotel the rooms are very small; in fact these are the smallest rooms that you will find in Waikiki.
• At the Continental (Surf) Hotel none of the rooms have balconies, only windows.
• At the Continental (Surf) Hotel Parking is available at a price but make sure that the vehicle is not very tall because clearance is only 6 feet.
