Marine Surf Condo General description:

• The Marine Surf condo was built in 1968, all it units are studios with full kitchens (including small ranges with ovens). The property was run as a hotel for most of it’s existence but in July 2009 it ceased it’s hotel operations and turned into a private condo building. The common areas are small especially the swimming pool and pool area. On the ground floor this hotel houses a well known local Italian restaurant named “Mateo’s”, closed for renovations since July 2008. This was one of the original hotels that started with the “ownership pool” concept in the 70′s in which the hotel rents units from the original owners to run the operation, at one point it counted almost 200 units, the last Real Estate craze however changed the landscape of the business and they had reduced their inventory to the point of having an unsustainable business model and was forced to stop operations. This building should not be confused with the Seaside Hotel located next door, owned by United Airlines and used exclusively by their employees.
