Where to stay in Waikiki ~ Waikiki Marriott Hotel

Where to stay in Waikiki ~ Waikiki Marriott Hotel

Waikiki Marriott Hotel General description:

Waikiki Marriott Hotel Where to stay in Waikiki ~ Waikiki Marriott Hotel

Waikiki Marriott Hotel

  • The Waikiki Marriott Hotel was originally built in 1971, has 2 separate towers with a total of a little over 1300 units, most of which are Hotel rooms.
  • For almost 30 years was operated as an independent 3 star hotel under the name Hawaiian Regent until it was sold, underwent a renovation and was reopened as the Waikiki Beach Marriott in 2001
It features a large lobby area with restaurants, bars, the front desk and stores as well as a pool area with 2 small swimming pools and a fitness center.

What we like about the Waikiki Marriott Hotel:

  • The Waikiki Marriott Hotel offers the peace of mind of a name brand.
  • The Waikiki Marriott Hotel is located just across the street from the Waikiki beach.
  • The Waikiki Marriott Hotel has the service that you have come to expect from a Marriott.

What you may not like about the Waikiki Marriott Hotel:

  • Unless it is imperative for you to stay in the yellow area of our Waikiki map, you should know that most times the rooms at this hotel are about the same rate or even more expensive than the Hilton Hawaiian Village that is by far a better hotel and is located ON the beach (number 12 in our Waikiki Map) rather than across the street form it.
  • If you are planning to go to the beach in front of this hotel, keep in mind that is not very wide. Nice wide beaches can be found at the Ala Moana beach park, Kailua and Waimanalo but no hotels are available near those beaches.
  • Like all hotels in Waikiki, parking is extra. Valet parking is available.
